Peaceful Gathering for Peace in Burma, Chiang Mai, Thailand

During 5, 6 and 8 October 2007, under the name of “Interfaith Group for Peace in Burma”, three peace marches were organized each day. Hundreds of Buddhist monks and believers in other religions as well as the non-believers joined us and braved the rains to walk in support of the cause of our sisters and brothers in monastic communities in Burma. It was the first walk made by more than two hundreds Buddhist monks for a social cause in Chiang Mai, Northern Siam (Thailand).
