Panties for Peace!
Global action beginning 16th October:
The Burma military regime is not only brutal but very superstitious. They believe that contact with a woman's panties or sarong can rob them of their power. So this is your chance to use your Panty Power to take away the power from the SPDC! Post or deliver your panties to the closest Burmese Embassy ongoing from 16th October.

New Ross, Co. Wexford, Ireland
I painted this on my Grandma's boarded-up shed window to support the monks.
It's on the street, and people passing by are very supportive. Thank you to
all my friends for spreading the word!

Venosa Potenza, Italy
Hi,
I have made the stencil in Venosa a small town in the south of Italy.
I hope this helps a little to let them know they're not alone.

Peaceful Gathering for Peace in Burma, Chiang Mai, Thailand
During 5, 6 and 8 October 2007, under the name of “Interfaith Group for Peace in Burma”, three peace marches were organized each day. Hundreds of Buddhist monks and believers in other religions as well as the non-believers joined us and braved the rains to walk in support of the cause of our sisters and brothers in monastic communities in Burma. It was the first walk made by more than two hundreds Buddhist monks for a social cause in Chiang Mai, Northern Siam (Thailand).

San Francisco, CA
These are t-shirts that I've been printing to raise awareness about the brave resistance to the military junta in Burma. I've given several to other teachers at the high school where I work and we've led discussions with groups of students as news updates become available. Thank you for the image and for keeping the message of solidarity alive.

Pasadena, California!
I'm passing on a pictures of the stenciled monks a few of us put up on the campus of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Also, I've blogged about it here. Many of us are aware of the injustice in Burma, yet it remains remote. These stencils give an opportunity to unite the artists and social justice advocates on campus, pooling our knowledge and resources to engage with Burma, and bring the cause closer to home.
Thank you!!!
Peace,
Kristin Myers
